It was a great price and shipped quickly! For an 11 year old, we had to do some trimming to make it fit, but the guard had marks for easy customization. Took a few tries to make it mold, but it will work for this years wrestling season so it's money well spent!
I ordered these for a teen who wanted them.I don't know what sport for which he will use them. The photo makes them look like leather, but they are vinyl. They came in a large size, though no size choices were offered by the seller.
$844 is an INSANE price for this. You can get this bag for less than $300 new!
I actually found mine used on ebay for a fraction of this price but believe me the price on amazon is the best around expecially as it's NEW. My only other heavy bag experience was with a vinyl type cover (a friend let me borrow it) and it was plenty sturdy but I was unsure of how the canvas would stand up to the elements as I didn't have room in the house and would have to keep mine outside (I cover it with a tarp so it doesn't get wet).Well over 1 year later my Everlast 70# canvas bag is just as strong as the first day I got it!If you have doubts, let them end here and take the plunge, you'll be glad you did.
Way over paid for what it is.I would have spent a lot less and gotten a better product by just going to the local hardware store and purchasing the individual pieces that make up the product. They should charge less for this assembled unit, or at least give you free shipping. On this one, a waste of money.
A couple of months ago i decided to get what i thought at-the-time to be a prfessional speed bag swivel. Wrong! To make a long story short i purchased the platinum speed bag swivel and within two weeks of light training the threads started to show wear and tear. During one workout the swivel simply slipped free from the base and almost hit me in the face. Luckily i wasn't injured. Anyways, i ended up shipping it back to the manufacture at my expense and within a short period of little to no training the threads on the new one also gave out. My friend who is a machinist with 30+ years in the field also agrees that poor craftsmanship and materials are used to make this swivel.
Its a pretty good product. It is expensive, but if you are willing to cough up the money, it'll be worth it.
this is a great heavy bag, si huge, the material is great, now you can trainning strong.
We purchased this desktop punching bag for a Technology Department office. We put it on a table by the door so Techs can punch it when they come in or go out - to relieve stress.Amazingly it lifts up everyone in the room when someone punches the bag because we all understand the pressure and frustration that the work place produces and now we have a fun venting mechanism.
This bag is truly worth the price.Of course I'm a little biased to everlast products. They are well built and very durable. This bag takes a beating and keeps the air in it which I never found with century products.I would recommend getting the everlast swivel with this too as it seems to perform better with it.
Best set Ive seen for the price. You really need something to anchor it down though. the speed bag set up is cheap but if you can work this speed bag by the time you upgrade to a nicer one you will be a pro because if you dont hit it just right its going to go everywhere. It actually got to my house in like 4 days a day before it was scheduled. But not bad overall.
I purchased this bag for my 6 year old, so he could have another avenue to expend energy during the cold winter months. He is too big for all the "kid" bags that are sold - most are inflatable and bottom weighted with sand - and he can just annihilate one of those in minutes.
Pros: Cheap, Quality built
These are the worst gloves I have ever worn.A little work on the heavy bag made my hands feel like they were about to break. The gel is way to hard and does not protect the hands at all.It is downright painful to wear these golves. The felt good at first and fit well.I liked how they protected the wrists but they killed the knuckles and tops of my hands.
Extremely Satisfied with Purchase. Very Solid piece of equipment.
They're not leather, but they are an excellent glove for the money. The breathable palm section works well and the cushioning is great for protecting your knucks. If you're hitting the bag less than 5 hours a week, then these will do just fine.
I ordered a 200 Pound heavy bag. The order went through but the delivery date kept getting pushed back. Then they cancelled my order without explanation. Everlast here I come. Not happy with them. 0 stars
Production quality of this DVD is ok, but the quality of the content is terrific!Note that this is geared towards beginners and fitness (vs. competitive) boxers, and more experienced boxers will find it a little too basic.
Nice sturdy drum and bag for the price. However, the swivel is pretty cheap (mostly plastic) and broke after a few weeks--easily replaceable however. Also be warned that this is designed to be mounted on standard wall studs and does NOT include the screws needed to attach it to the wall. The instructions suggest 1/4" x 1 3/4" Lag Bolts (you need 6 of them). So if you're planning on installing this the day you get it, make sure you have the screws, a power drill, a stud finder, etc.
The DVD looks like a transfer from an old VHS recording. Quality is seriously lacking and the material is dated. The information is ok but could be priced much lower.
