Way over paid for what it is.I would have spent a lot less and gotten a better product by just going to the local hardware store and purchasing the individual pieces that make up the product.They should charge less for this assembled unit, or at least give you free shipping.On this one, a waste of money.
I purchased this bag for my 6 year old, so he could have another avenue to expend energy during the cold winter months.He is too big for all the "kid" bags that are sold - most are inflatable and bottom weighted with sand - and he can just annihilate one of those in minutes.
It's a good heavy bag, and it feels very durable. However there is one section that is packed hard, like sand. I've been pounding it with a small weight, but it's not going anywhere. I assume Sports Authority stored it laying on its side, and the sand seeped to the lowest point. I'm hoping the sand will seep back to the bottom, and I'm doing my level best to send it on its way. However, the uneven density of the bag has caused me several small injuries.
I SHOPPED A LONG TIME FOR A HEAVY BAG. I LOOKED AT ALL THE TOP BRANDS. WHAT SHOULD I PURCHASE? WATER FILLED OR SAND FILLED OR NOT FILLED AT ALL. SHOULD IT BE COVERED IN VINYL, CANVAS OR NYLON, I HAD NO IDEA. I KNEW THE NAME TKO AND IT WAS THE LOWEST PRICED ( I KNOW ), BUT I LUCKED OUT. THIS BAG IS GREAT. THE BAG IS MADE OF CANVAS WITH A LITTLE NYLON RUNNING THROUGH IT. I'AM NO EXPERT, BUT I THINKVINYL IS MORE PRONE TO SPLIT THAN THE CANVAS OR NYLON. I WAS REALLY SURPRISED HOW WELL IT WAS MADE AND HOW GREAT IT LOOKS. IT IS FILLED WITH SOME TYPE OF SAND AND THE SEAMS AND ALL THE STITCHING ARE WELL DONE. I'AM GLAD I CHOSE THE 100 LB BAG, IT DOESN'T MOVE AROUND MUCH AND I WEIGH 220. IF IT DOES SWING TO MUCH FOR YOUR TASTES, IT HAS A RING ON THE BOTTOM THAT CAN BE ATTACHED TO THE FLOOR. ANOTHER NICE FEATURENOT ALL BAGS HAVE. AFTER THE FIRST TIME YOU USE THIS I KNOW YOU WILL HAVE A BIG SMILE ON YOUR FACE. IT MAKES GETTING IN SHAPE FUN. BUY THIS BAG... YOU WON'T REGRET IT.
I have been searching for a boxing video for quite some time and finally found this.I LOVE it.
The product is heavy duty, holds the 100lb heavy bag wonderfully, it does what it suppose to do, hold a [heavy] bag.
I bought one of these, got it mounted, no trouble.I enjoy every minute of working out with the equipment.However, the platform is made of particle board - mine broke in half this morning after about 3 weeks of use.So if you're like me and tend to lay into your speed bag, be prepared to replace the platform with a piece of solid wood.
I have enjoyed the BobXL. It allows you to focus on 'features' that are not on a normal punching bag,ex;uppercut training is there without the need to buy an extra bag. Sand is heavier than the water but much harder to get into the container. All in all I have no regrets on the purchase and give it a 5 star rating. Enjoy your training.
